Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the MEDA+ app for Android and this website collect, and why. You don't need an account to use MEDA+: we never ask for your name, email address or phone number.

What stays on your phone

Your sport picks, country, player settings, the channels you watch most and your playback history are saved only on your phone. They're used to order what you see and to choose the best stream. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them.

To suggest sports for your country, the app reads the country of your SIM card or mobile network (or your phone's region). That country stays on your phone.

What the app sends to our servers

The app loads events, channels and match information from our own server. After a stream plays, it sends an anonymous playback report: which server it was, your network type (for example Wi-Fi or 4G), whether it started, how long it took and how often it paused. Reports carry no device ID, account, stream address or personal data, and are kept only as combined statistics per server so that everyone gets the working streams first.

Like any web server, ours sees your IP address when the app connects. We use it only to stop abuse and don't store it with your reports.

Usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example which screens are opened, whether a match is opened live, searches made in the app, and how well streams play) and Firebase Crashlytics to learn when the app crashes. To do this, Firebase collects an app instance ID, your phone's advertising ID, the device model, Android and app version, language, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Crash reports also include the technical state of the app at the time of the crash.

We use Firebase Remote Config to change app settings without an update; it uses a Firebase installation ID.

Usage statistics and crash reports are how we find broken streams and crashes, so they're always on in the app. They never include your name, email, phone number or stream addresses. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone's Android settings, which stops it being linked to earlier data. Google processes this data under its own terms; see Google's Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.

Streams from other servers

When you play a stream, your phone connects directly to the server that hosts it, which sees your IP address like any website you visit. Those servers are not run by us.

How long we keep data

Playback reports are combined into per-server statistics that fade out within days. Firebase keeps analytics events for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. Data on your phone stays until you delete it.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't ask for your contacts, photos or precise location, and we don't create accounts or profiles of you.

Children

MEDA+ is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
